The Virginia Chapter of the American String Teachers Association is a vibrant, state-wide members only organization of string teachers. ASTA members are highly engaged string teachers who believe in the development of excellence in string playing and teaching. The chapter currently boasts 290 members, with many more string players visiting our website to get information and sign up for events. VASTA is a not for profit organization, run by a dedicated board of nine and no paid staff.
Sponsorship of VASTA helps the state chapter offer its many meaningful activities, such as:
- Johonnott $500 Scholarship to a deserving college music major
- Special Project String Workshop funding (3-6 a year)
- SRO Prep workshops (NOVA, Fredericksburg & Hampton)
- College Chapter support for National Conference attendance
- String teaching related workshops
Sponsorship benefits for one calendar season (20/21 school year):
- Logo on the footer of each page of our vastaweb.org website
- Recognition on our sponsors page of the website – including a short paragraph about your business, written by you
- Mentioned thank you as sponsor on all of our E-news (9-12 e-news per year via email)
- Recognition in our Fingerboard multi-page newsletter, published 1-2 times per year.

- Sponsorship Cost: $500 per season. Submit payment below using the PayPal button. If you would prefer to pay by check, please include this information in the email you send to the webmaster.
- Please send transparent and color logos (png) plus 50 words or less description you would like listed on the sponsorship page. Place VASTA Sponsorship in the subject line and email the Webmaster. You will be invoiced for the sponsorship by the VASTA Treasurer.
